For this weekly challenge I want to incorporate a full body workout for 3 days.
As I’m into my push-ups right now, I will complete 100 push-ups and 2 minutes plank on the other days.
Any other form of exercise, such as running or gardening (a lot harder than people give credit for!) will be a bonus.
The Happy Body Workout
If you haven’t heard of The Happy Body, I strongly recommend you have a look at it.
It is basically a fitness and nutrition program aimed at all levels of fitness.
The exercises incorporate a full body workout and stretching.
I intend to write a post on the Happy Body Program in due course.
Weekly challenge no.2
3 Days – Happy Body Exercises
4 Days – 100 Push Ups | 2 Minutes plank
Update (15 Feb 18) – Week 4
It’s been just over a week since I started this second challenge and I’ve managed to stick to the routine.
The ‘Happy Body’ workout, works all your muscle groups, and completing it 3 times over the course of the week is a good result.
Combined with the alternate days of push-ups and 2 minute plank, I’ve found a routine that I really enjoy.
So I’m going to stick with weekly challenge no.2 this week.
The only variation is that I will complete the 100 push-ups as – 3 sets of 30 and 1 set of 10.
It’s quite easy to bang out 20 push-ups each time, but 30 reps keeps your muscles under tension for a little longer.
I’m hoping this slight variation will stimulate more muscle growth.
