I didn’t write up an update for week 7 because it’s just been a continuation of what I’m doing.
My goals for last the last two weeks were:
3 Days – The Happy Body Exercises | 4 Days – 100 Push-Ups, 2 Minutes Plank | 7 Days – 3 Pull-Ups
It was a bit of a crazy week or so, and I didn’t complete all my daily fitness goals.
But hey – that’s life!
If I miss a day, or fall short of some of the fitness tasks, then so be it.
Getting Stronger
The last few days I’ve managed to do 4 pull-ups instead of 3. Nothing to shout about, but it’s a step in the right direction.
As well as getting a little stronger, I’ve noticed a difference in my physique.
My shoulders and arms have just a little more muscle and definition. No great shakes, but it’s something I’ve noticed.
The push-ups are becoming slightly easier, so I’m really concentrating on my ‘form’ to get the best from them.
Going Forward
I feel that I can easily add another ten push-ups to my ‘push-up days’, and I’m going to continue to complete 4 pull-ups.
So my new fitness week will be:
3 Days – The Happy Body Exercises
4 Days – 110 Push-Ups, 2 Minutes Plank
Every day – 4 Pull-Ups
This will be number 4 of my weekly challenges.
Falling Off The Wagon
My days don’t always go as planned, so there might be days when I don’t do any sort of fitness.
It hasn’t effected my progress, and my body probably benefits from the breaks in training.
When this happens, I just need to be mindful of what I’m eating.
80 – 20 Rule
Although I’m getting a little stronger and increasing my muscle mass a little, my belly is still way too big for my liking.
This is without doubt due to me eating crap food, too often!
As the saying goes – 80% of the results comes from your diet and 20% comes from the gym (or through fitness).
A lot of the good work I’m doing with my fitness is being unraveled with my shite ‘not so great’ diet.
I try to be healthy, but I know I need to plan my meals much better than I have been.
As from next month – 1 April 2018, I’m going to start a food journal.
By planning my meals in advance (even snacks) I should be able to lose some of the fat from my gut. That’s the intention anyway!
