Day 4 – Luxury Bus to Kuala Lumpur
After a very early start we get the most luxurious coach to Kuala Lumpur… leather seats that reclined, films, nice food and hot choc!
The buses and taxi’s in Malaysia were the cheapest and most luxurious in all the countries we visited in SE Asia.
Arrived at 3pm.to check in to our lovely hotel – yippee no smell!

Evening spent eating on the Jalan Alor food market street..
Pete waited 45 mins for a beef roti.. a beef pasty in reality!

Day 5 – Petronas Towers
What a day! Healthy breakfast followed by a walk to Petronas Towers and the KLCC Park.
Then a Mai Tai in the Traders Sky Bar.
Food in the mall was soooo good. Then thunder and lightning stopped play!
..a few pics from last night’s market..
Day 6 – Batu Caves
They have started – mozzie bites 1
So after a leisurely breakfast, we headed to the Botanical Gardens and the Hornbill Cafe.. where we heard rather than saw the Hornbill.
The bird park looked a little cramped for the birds so we didn’t go in!
Our Grab driver told us there was a big Hindu festival at the Batu Caves so we headed there via the train.
FABULOUS. Full on affair.
Again play was stopped by rain and an amazing thunder storm.
Night 6.
We’d booked a cabana at the Sky Bar with views of Petronas Towers and the park.
Plus Wednesday is free drinks for ladies- which meant free-flowing pina colada-like cocktails 🙂
Memories – street food, Petronas Towers, free cocktails, great bed and hotel, Hindu festival with its chaos and rain!
