Day 60 – Mui Ne and Back to the Beach Wow, day 60!! Can’t believe it. We make our way to Mui Ne as a last minute change of plan. We feel the need for beach ⛱️.

Ho Chi Minh 15 – 17 Mar 24
Day 57 – Ho Chi Minh City We booked a 10.30am minibus from Can Tho to Ho Chi Minh. It was a good trip. Looking forward to seeing the sights of this famous city – previously known as Saigon.

Can Tho 12 – 14 Mar 24
Day 54 – Can Tho, Vietnam Good night Cambodia, Good morning Vietnam! (See what I did there!) Finding transport taking us from Kep in Cambodia, to Can Tho in Vietnam, proved a lot more time-consuming than we hoped!

Kep 8 – 11 Mar 24
Day 50 – Kep and it’s Crabs Off to Kep this morning. A small sea-side town famous for its crab. Booked a tuk-tuk because the distance isn’t far. Didn’t count on the state of the road however!

Kampot 4 – 7 Mar 2024
Day 46 – Kampot Oasis Our usual start to moving on – jump on a tuk-tuk and head to the bus or train station. Our last view of Phnom Penh and a final ride over the Tonle Sap river. Our trusty Giant Ibis takes us 4 hours South to a little bit of heaven.

Phnom Penh 2 – 3 Mar 2024
Day 44 – Flashpackers! Another bus, another day! A fond farewell to Seim Reap and onto a new adventure to Cambodia’s capital – Phnom Penh. This is a long un – 6 hours. But we enjoy them. Comfy with ‘sugary’ refreshments. Chance for Pete to work and me to ‘people watch’ through the countryside.

Siem Reap 26 Feb – 1 Mar 2024
Day 39 – Into Cambodia Magically our room last night in Bangkok is right next to today’s pick-up point! We booked the Giant Ibis Bus Company to take us across the border and into Cambodia. We expect great things after talking to others.

Bangkok – Part 2 – 25 Feb 2024
Day 38 – 1 Night in Bangkok Nice easy start to the day. Our last breakfast at Jim Guesthouse. Despite initial reservations about this place, we will be sad to leave. The lovely, lady Thai owner – Jim, works tirelessly to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

Kanchanaburi 21 – 24 Feb 2024
Day 34 – Kanchanaburi Setting off for Kanachaburi today. Very excited to see the town, museums, and of course the location of the Bridge Over the River Kwai. Reasonable start to the day – loads of banana pancakes!!! – then a minibus from Bangkok station for 3 hours.
