Day 16

Up early (for us) to run and then drop off the moped.

We are heading south today to our next stay at the shit place we already did a recce to – We Xiao near Nin beach.

We opt for breakfast at the Oasis yoga hotel buffet. OMG it was so good. This is the type of hotel we would like to stay at!

We had eggs and fresh carrot juice with turmeric and ginger. Homemade bread.

Then fruit and yogurt. Coffee. Ginger tea.

A feast..then walked back to check out.

In the end I really rated the Istyle Lanta…even without a pool and chronically loud aircon.

Next up Wei Xiao Resort.

Welcomed with fruit juice AND a mini ice cream cone. They are so lovely here. She’s Thai, he’s French.. at a guess.

Room is large and we head out for food and a beach walk.

Nice beach but not as flat as the previous ones. No good for running.

The south beaches are sold as being much prettier. Good sunsets.

Night time we have a sweet cookie treat and an early night. But not before Pete has to tackle our first massive cockroaches x 2. Blurgh.

Day 17

This is a proper lazy day. Swim in the morning. Beach walk afternoon.

Blue moon bar for coconuts and smoothies. Pete had a beef dish to tide him over – always hungry!

Sea swim before the sun sets.

Dinner is a fab green curry overlooking the beach.

Nighttime we book Hongkong flights and our Da Nang stay. All organised now!

Day 18

Woken by a barking squirrel at 7.30am.

Repeat of yesterday. Swim and beach walk.

Pool is empty and lots of dragonflies and red mayfly, huge butterflies. We get it to ourselves.  This place growing on us.

Walk to beach. Spot so many fruit trees just outside the hotel. No godzillas.

I also finally get my nails done. The nail lady is from Bangkok and married to an English guy from Canterbury. Their daughter is gorgeous and about 5 and is trying to sell me bracelets.

More swimming in the sea. Blue moon beach bar for fruit smoothies and a pre dinner cocktail for me.

Fab vegan restaurant at night. Great green curry again..super spicy.

Nighttime we sit outside on the patio. I do this blog!
