Day 40 Bus to Pattaya We are up and heading to the bus station for a 4 hour journey to Pattaya – south of Bangkok. We regret this now as Hua Hin was a grower.

Day 29 Van to Surat Thani We are leaving Phi Phi Island today. We wish we could stay – but to do that we needed to book up earlier; full or expensive now. That’s the trade with being flexible… sometimes you can’t get what you discover you want!

Day 19 Chomview kids park We have breakfast and swim for a couple of hours before Pete grabs the tuk tuk couple from next door. The driver, our bags, me, Pete and Mrs Tuk Tuk jump in.. she’s blagging a lift to see friends. No English is spoken

Day 16 Up early (for us) to run and then drop off the moped. We are heading south today to our next stay at the shit place we already did a recce to – We Xiao near Nin beach.

Day 11 Godzilla! Pete is woken by half a dozen cockerels from about 3am. I hear them at about 6.30 (earplugs). I go and watch them and their babies, crawling around a building site behind the hotel. Think he’d rather they were on a spit!

Day 9 Thai time! So off to Koh Lanta today at 11.30 – door to door mini van. We enjoy a few hours at the hotel and our van appears at 11.40. We dive in – we are first..never a good sign.
