Day 1 – London To Singapore

After a very easy, 13 hour flight, we are here!!

Singapore Airport – 2 very excited people!

Our hotel is in between Clarke Quay and China Town – the room has no windows, and smells a bit.

Location over quality I’ll say.

Beautiful hotel.. not ours.. this is across from our hotel.. this is £400 a night.. ours wasn’t.

Since they are preparing for Chinese New Year we opted for the chaos of Chinatown with all the lights and decorations already up.

Brilliantly busy but grabbed a table for beer, crab fried rice, spinach, and shikate mushroom bao buns.

We were in a tourist trap but it was really good!!

Day 2 – Marina Bay

Not a great night’s sleep.

Woke up at 9.45 and surfaced slowly into the drizzle… walked over to the Quays and Marina Bay.

Wanted to do the Gardens but dryer tomorrow so swapped plans.

Bit jet lagged.

Can’t get that top off him on a Saturday!

In the evening we walked to a local hawkers centre and night food market.

Panic bought but it was good!

Still knackered so after an ice cream and chat to my lovely mum and dad, we went to bed!

Day 3 – Sentosa Island and Gardens By The Bay

We ended up on Sentosa Island resort, totally unplanned.

After we hopped the MRT to do a trial run to the departure point of the KL bus, we found a shaded path out to the resort and thought – why not??

Loads to do there, I put my toes in the sea.

Finally we get round to Gardens By The Bay

We liked it but wouldn’t rave about it..although it was decorated for New Year.

Memories – walked everywhere, colonial history on every corner, China Town spicy crab rice & spinach and mushroom bao buns were immense!
