5 – 7 Mar Turtle Point
We liked it so much here we wanted to come so Pete could swim with turtles.
We are staying in the White Lion Paradise (£28 inc breakie). Its nice.
There is a bit of a bad smell outside sometimes. The river flows into the sea here.
On the beach Pete did his usual. Went in once. Saw one turtle. And got back out.
To be fair it’s been choppy and there are rocks. I got dragged on to them once.. didn’t go back in.
It does have rock pools where we saw a striped moray eel.
Plus great for crabbing.
I notice my bikini proper stinks once it dries out. Not good! Blurgh end of swim here for me!
We ventured to Hiriketya along the the beach in the afternoon. Quite a walk.
It’s super busy with young surfers. And the occasional older person.
Perfect bay for swimming and learning to surf. Pete tells all the surf schools he’s already a professional. Embarrassing.
We find a lovely authentic restaurant there and Pete gets some decent food for a change.
We go back the next day and swim. It’s a nice change. Lovely clean sea.
Pete does his usual… orders a burger.. comes without a burger… here the burger is the roll. He gets cheese and egg. His little face. Again. Mine was good. As usual.
My swimming costume doe not smell after this swim. Hmm. This is my last sea swim.
Off to a hotel with a nice pool after this.
