Day 86 – Farewell Vietnam

After a great nights sleep onboard ship in Halong Bay, we decline the 6.30am visit to the caves as we’ve seen enough of caves.

So it’s a lie-in!

We don’t make 6am tai chi either.

We have a great brunch in the ship restaurant and then make the 4hr return journey to Hanoi via a very nice coach.

We get dropped in central Hanoi again, so Pete sits in Starbucks for 2 hours whilst I scoot around Hanoi getting last minute gifts for friends and family.. and the odd dress for me 🙂

We book a hotel next to the airport and it’s just as well as the taxi ride is an hour.

Traffic is a nightmare here.

Day 87 – Vietnam Air

We get the complimentary drop off to the airport from our Hanoi hotel and join our Vietnam Air flight back to Singapore for our final few days… so sad.

The flight was actually, quite good.

I had a great breakfast – served first as veggie (hurrah for veggies). Pete had pasta.

Once we land we discover our hotel is near the Expo MRT station and only only 1 stop from the airport.

Our last hotel is a lush affair with a pool, gym and about 30 mins direct MRT into the centre of Singapore.

We swim and then decide we should head back to Singapore Chinatown and recreate our first night.

Same restaurant with same food.

Love China Town, Singapore!

Day 88 – Final Full Day in Singapore

Today is all about relaxing.

I go to the gym. We swim and lounge by the pool – just about avoiding the rain.

We head to the big shopping centre, which is really a sports outlet.

But we find a Levis shop and go a bit crazy, filling up our backpacks for the trip home!

In the evening we wander back into the big shopping centre hoping to have a fabulous last meal.

I pick wrong and we end up back watching Yellowstone before bed. Def time for home.

Last night of our trip.

It seems like it’s gone both fast and slow, but it’s been amazing!!

So many memories that will last a lifetime.

If you’re contemplating doing something similar..do it.

Can’t wait to get home now though and see friends and family.
